Brentwood Referrals

The first step is to make a referral to our Referral and Placement Team.

Brentwood Academy follows a rolling admissions process, allowing students to enroll throughout the school year, as well as during our 15-day summer program.

The admissions process begins with a referral from the student's public school district. Once a referral is made, our Referral and Placement Team carefully reviews the provided documentation to determine if our school can meet the student’s needs. This documentation typically includes a recent IEP, details on current school performance, academic and cognitive profiles, diagnostic assessments, and any relevant clinical information.

After the referral packet is received and reviewed, a member of our Referral and Placement Team will reach out to the person referring to request an interview with the child and parent or guardian and case manager. The interview is designed for our team to gather more information. We can also provide more information about our program. We will also be able to answer questions. A tour of the school will be offered at this time.

Once the interview and tour is conducted and all necessary information has been collected, the Referral and Placement Team will meet to assess whether Brentwood Academy is able to offer the student a placement. A decision will then be made and the referring person will be notified.

If the student is accepted at Brentwood Academy there will be a trial period. A progress meeting within 30-45 days will then be held.

Please send all attachments and documents to the Brentwood Coordinator mccallumc@nashua.edu. Attachments and documents include: Academic records/transcripts, IEP/504 Plan, Psychological/Psychiatric evaluations, Medical history, Functional Behavioral Assessment or Behavioral reports, Behavior intervention plan, Court paperwork (if applicable) and Other relevant documents.

Note: Referral packets are reviewed on the first and third Wednesday of each month. Submitting this form initiates the referral process but does not guarantee acceptance into Brentwood Academy.
